fish + braids = fishwithbraids

fish + braids = fishwithbraids
the experience of art thrives at the top of the bell curve in a place of speculation (and not consensus), hypotheses (and not conclusions) and belief (not knowledge).
To stay at the top of the bell curve, as Buergel and Noack might say,
the best art must make us not understand,
which corresponds to a state of sustained curiosity that provokes us to change something about ourselves in an effort to understand.

dolls and sculptures archive

my work with dolls as sculptures began as a teenager, to progress to a full time
obsession. The dolls have traveled with me across the world to find interesting homes, galleries and museums.
The materials used are clay(ceramic), porcelaine, super sculpey, resin, paper mache and wood at times.
A few pieces will be available at the gallery for shows.
I do only one-of-a-kind pieces these days, no production runs like I used to.
